May 5th – International Day of the Midwife Celebration Message

Celebrated every year on May 5th, the International Day of the Midwife is a meaningful occasion to recognize the invaluable contributions of midwives, who play a vital role in safeguarding maternal and newborn health, and to express our heartfelt gratitude for their dedicated service during life’s most precious moments.

From pregnancy to childbirth, and from postpartum care to the promotion of public health, midwives provide a wide range of essential services with great dedication, patience, and compassion. This sacred profession, which touches human life at its very beginning, is not only a profession but also a profound service to humanity.

On this special day, I warmly celebrate the International Day of the Midwife for all midwives, especially those who are graduates or students of our faculty, and extend my best wishes for health, success, and well-being in their professional lives.
