Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru İnal Önal, a faculty member at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ), has been selected to join the working group for the "Technology Roadmap for the Management of Natural Disasters Before, During, and After," established by the Scientific, Technological, and Innovative Policies Board (BTYPK) of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.

The Presidential BTYPK forms various working groups to develop Türkiye’s policies in science, technology, and innovation and to establish national strategies. Within the scope of this roadmap project, which aims to identify technology-based solutions to be implemented before, during, and after natural disasters, leading academics from top universities in Türkiye, representatives from the private sector, and civil society organizations have come together.

The goal of the working group is to ensure the effective use of science and technology in disaster management processes, evaluate national and international funding opportunities, and promote technologically critical initiatives. The roadmap is planned to be completed by August 15, 2025.

The participation of ÇOMÜ academic Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru İnal Önal in this important working group is a great source of pride for our university, as it represents the integration of our scientific and academic strength into national strategic efforts.
